Blessings are Like Silent Visitors

Hold them as your life depends on them

The essential things feel like home. But we have to be careful that family doesn’t become too familiar. When you become blind to beauty, learn to catch yourself before you stop appreciating the joy and companions around you.

Blessings are silent visitors. Unassuming yet potent. They feel like clouds floating in the sky. Cruising by with no cares and it’s easy to miss them. However, when they fail to come too long, our hearts feel a drought so heavy and severe.

The heart is a vital part of us and yet sits silent. It does not boast or boom. The heart hums as it keeps us alive and alert. The things that give life and vitality are the little things.

The simple smiles and hugs from friends. Lunch dates with the family and intimate music concerts. Holding hands as you sit in a cab ride home. It’s the little things.

Hold them as your life depends on them. Memories are precious in retrospect, and you never know when you are making them.

Actively create magical moments. It’s the closest thing you have to superpowers. Allow yourself to freeze the frame long enough to smile at the sun and appreciate the warmth in your life.
