Do You Find or Create Rhythm?

Sometimes all the metaphor you need is staring at you in the face. A literal reminder. Because who needs subtlety when you are on the verge of self sabotage? You need a slap atop your head.

A nagging tick and tock that nudges you to do something. The never ending frustration that pushes you to anger. Righteous anger. If such a thing exists. Anger at inertia. At self induced inertia when you could be soaring.

The need to self direct is a theme that has become apparent. Your intentions are powerful. More than most care to admit. Because admitting to it means that you could live a much better life if you willed it. Does it insult those dealt a heavy hand by life? No, it liberates. That even in the bleakest of valleys, you still have the liberty to tie reeds together and fashion a rope. There is always a way out if you get creative with what you have in hand. What you don’t have pushes you to dig for what you do have. Forces the latent seeds to come to life and save you. Feed you. Keep you nourished.

Self direction versus destiny is not the real question. The question is what have you decided to make of your destiny and are you doing something about it? I’m I doing something about it?
